Oracle CIO to open UKOUG conference 2011
Case studies from Barclays, RBS and Morrisons will also appear

Mark Sunday, CIO and senior vice-president of Oracle, will deliver the opening keynote at the UK Oracle User Group’s (UKOUG) conference this year.
The conference, which takes place at the ICC in Birmingham on 5th to 7th December, is the largest event that the user group runs for the Oracle technology and E-Business Suite communities, and attracts more than 1,500 delegates worldwide.

Sunday will be joined by a number of notable speakers at the event, including Ray Wang, principal analyst and CEO of Constellation Research, and Cary Millsap, president of Method R Corporation, who will deliver a range of motivational and technical presentations.
Other highlights of the conference include sessions with middleware expert Mike Lehman, senior director of product management at Oracle, Rajan Krishan, VP of applications product development and produce management for EMEA at the company, who will present on Fusion apps, Duncan Mills, senior director and architect in Oracle’s Tools division, who will be giving a masterclass on debugging ADF applications.
End users case studies will also be presented at the event, including those from defence company Thales, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), supermarket chain Morrisons, University College London (UCL) and Barclays bank.
In addition, for delegates attending the conference for the first time, the UKOUG runs ‘first timer briefings’ to help them get the most out of the event.
