Leeds City Council CIO takes up public sector IT leaders' post

Socitm Futures has appointed the chief information officer at Leeds City Council as its new chair.
Dylan Roberts will take over from Birmingham City council’s Glyn Evans as head of the body, which creates Socitm strategy and policy. Evans is now Socitm VP.
Roberts is a member of the Local CIO Council, the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership and Socitm Yorkshire & Humber, Socitm said. He is playing a role in influencing the direction and delivery of the government’s Public Sector Network and G-Cloud programmes.
At Leeds City Council, Dylan leads a team of 302 business and IT staff involved in a range of transformation programmes.
