Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation has released two contract notices, one for Warwickshire County Council and one for Cambridge City Council, outlining plans to purchase ICT services worth up to £34 million.

Warwickshire’s tender notice says that the council is looking to provide a “competitive telephone call charging service via least cost routing solutions, line rental to include analogue, ISDN and SIP and broadband".

The service may also be opened up for use by other public sector bodies in the UK, such as central government departments and educational establishments. The value of the contract, therefore, ranges between £8 million and £14 million, and will last for two years.

Meanwhile, Cambridge City Council wishes to establish a contract for the support of its operational ICT environment, which will include support for server operations, networks, database administration, desktops and applications.

The value of the deal is worth between £13 million and £20 million, and will last for an initial period of five years, but will include the option to extend for up to a further five.

Suppliers interested in participating in the tender process for Warwickshire’s framework have until the 25 September to express interest, whilst those interested in bidding for Cambridge’s contract have until 12 September.
