The Ritz Hotel is set to use hosted email security software in order to help protect its network infrastructure.
The hotel, one of London’s oldest and most prestigious, will use the hosted Webroot Email Security program, to protect against spam, viruses and data loss, and to help with email archiving.
It has also opted to use a business continuity feature, so that if any function fails a backup system immediately starts working.
Richard Isted, IT manager, said the hotel needed reliable security technology, because of a growing amount of customer enquiries and reservations.
“We were looking for a bespoke solution to protect 120 email users and to deal efficiently with an increasing number of web-based guest reservations,” he added.
