The Royal Mail Group is advertising a number of senior IT job roles on LinkedIn, which require candidates to have managed projects worth hundreds of millions of pounds in the past.
The roles include IT Portfolio Director for Data, Head of Strategic Supplier & Contracts Management, Infrastructure Architect, Head of Mobility Systems Integration and Supplier Chain Solution Architect.
The job descriptions state: “Royal Mail Group is changing fast – and you could be right at the heart of that change. Our large and growing team of technology specialists is involved creating an exciting new future for the business.
“The ambitions are considerable. We’re investing £600 million in technology to help over 150,000 Royal Mail Group employees work smarter and developing innovative new products and services that will drive our future success.”

The roles vary in their description and requirements, but most state that they are looking for candidates that are able to manage projects upwards of £100 million.
The Royal Mail has suffered a number of technical problems this year, where customers struggled to log in to their online accounts for many consecutive months.
However, little detail was provided as to the cause of the problem.
“Due to technical issues, some customers experienced difficulties accessing the Online Postage Application for a short period of time [yesterday] morning.
“The service has now been restored and we apologise to customers for any inconvenience this may have caused,” a spokesperson for the company said at the time.
