Royal Mail appoints Catherine Doran as CIO
Network Rail CIO to head up postal service's IT

Catherine Doran is leaving her role at Network Rail to become the new chief information officer at the Royal Mail.
Doran, currently Director of Corporate Development, a business change role, at Network Rail, has been with the national rail infrastructure group since 2006 when she became the CIO. Doran moved into her current role in 2008.
A spokesperson for Network Rail confirmed that Doran will be leaving in mid-July and is expected to start at the Royal Mail in September 2011.
Robin Dargue was CIO and Technology Director at Royal Mail until July 2010 when he left to become head of technology transformation at French telecommunications equipment specialist Alcatel-Lucent in Paris.
