Linde Group CIO Peter Dew jumps ship to Ceva
Will assume control in April

International logistics company Ceva has appointed Peter Dew as group chief information officer. Dew, from the UK, will take on the position from 1 April. Since September 2006 he has been CIO for European gas producers Linde Group.

In his new role Dew will be responsible for establishing and implementing a global IT strategy for the Hoofdorp, Holland, based organisation. "This is a great time to be joining as dynamic a company as Ceva," Dew said i. He will join the executive board of Ceva at their head offices.
"Peter will develop IT into a best-in-class function, providing real competitive advantage," said John Pattullo, CEO at Ceva. "There is no doubt that IT is absolutely crucial to the Ceva vision and to achieving our growth ambitions."
Dew has already stepped down as CIO of specialist gas provider Linde, which supplies gas products to industry and medicine. He joined the company in September 2006 after it successfully acquired BOC, a British rival based in Surrey. At Linde, Dew was involved in an efficiency programme charged with achieving major efficiencies and moving over to an SAP -based global IT standard platform. Dew had been CIO of BOC after a well-travelled career that involved stints in South Africa and the Antipodes.
Ronald Geiger has been appointed as head of group information services at Linde from this month. According to a Linde spokesperson he has 20 years of IT experience and management. He was a board member at SAP and head of SAP field services in the EMEA region.
Ceva operates the well-known courier company TNT and provides logistics services to the automotive and tyre manufacturing sector, retail, healthcare, publishing, aerospace and the gas and oil industries. Created in August 2007 following the merger of TNT and rival EGL, Ceva employs 50,000 people worldwide in 100 countries.
