Columbus Children’s Hospital is the 5th largest children’s hospital in the United States with the 3rd busiest pediatric emergency room.
Challenge:
A top priority for Columbus Children’s is protecting the safety of their patients —this includes both the patient’s health as well as the security of patient’s personal health information. To accomplish this, Columbus Children’s needs their supporting IT infrastructure to be as responsive to their patients needs as their employees are.
Solution:
Columbus Children’s developed a Sign-On Simplification strategy to improve their employees’ interactions with the IT systems that they rely on. This included improving the speed at which users access data in applications, getting new users set up in the IT system more quickly and better securing the confidential information of their patients and employees.
