Matthew Finnegan joined ComputerworldUK in January 2013, having spent two years writing for tech news titles including TechEye and ChannelBiz.

Before employment as a technology journalist, Matthew worked for the special advisers to the secretary of state at the Department for Education. Prior to this he studied English Literature at the University of Westminster.

Matthew's main areas of focus at ComputerworldUK include financial services and retail sector IT projects. He is also interested in data centres, cloud computing and virtualisation.
